He has been involved in various associations and held board positions in organizations such as the Women Foodservice Forum, Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance, and most recently, as Chairman of New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he has been committed to making a difference beyond his professional endeavors and has actively contributed to organizations such as Girl Scouts Louisiana-East. Corporate Internship Leadership Institute (CILI), Executive Director
CILI is a non-profit that aims to assist New Orleans area college students through leadership development and internship placement. The organization collaborates with companies, educational institutions and students to provide internship opportunities throughout the New Orleans metro region, Gulf Coast area and state of Louisiana, facilitating professional development and soft skill building programs, coaching and mentoring to students.
In 2019, Perry attended New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute where the idea to develop an internship program focused on developing BIPOC College students began. Since 2021’s first Cohort at the award winning Tenth Institute, the program has engaged with 70+ students assisting them with the critical career skills and fundamentals necessary to succeed.
